Laboratorio: Dipingiamo un laggione medievale

As the first summer evening workshop, the Museum proposes to reproduce the marvellous tiles, called ‘laggioni’, that decorated the most important palaces in Liguria from 1400 onwards.

The workshop will take place at the City and Archaeological Museum starting at 8.30 pm. We will provide you with the material and illustrate the decoration techniques used in ancient times. To inspire you, we will show you the collection of laggioni found in part during the archaeological investigations conducted in the Palazzo della Loggia and which adorned the Fregoso residence, and in part in the medieval church of San Domenico. At the end of the activity the laggione produced will remain with you.

The cost of the workshop is €6.

To book, simply send an email to or call the Museum on 019-2211770.
