Ligurian Centre for the History of Ceramic


The Ligurian Centre for the History of Ceramic aims to promote the knowledge and study of Ligurian ceramics from an artistic and archaeological point of view. Since 1968 annual International Conferences are held, in which Acts (ATTI) are published the results of the studies of several European ceramologic institutions and many Italian and foreign researchers.

Its collection, built from purchase and donation of numerous members (in particular from the substantial legacy granted by Francesco Torterolo), is exposed primarily in Museo Trucco in Albisola Superiore. It consists of 138 pieces, with a predominance of Ligurian artifacts.
