Round Table-The museum as a factor of social cohesion and civic growth of a community -13 January 2024

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 13 January, from 3.30 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the Sala della Sibilla (Priamàr monumental complex – Savona), for the round table on ‘The museum as a factor of social cohesion and civil growth of a community’, in view of Savona’s candidacy as Capital of Culture 2027.


Speakers will include:
Fulvio Cervini: Professor of Medieval Art History at the University of Florence and member of the Board of Directors of the Uffizi Gallery in Florence
Christian Greco: Director of the Egyptian Museum of Turin
Michele Lanzinger: ICOM President and Director of the Science Museum of Trento
The event, coordinated by Massimiliano Caldera (Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e del Paesaggio for the Metropolitan City of Turin and Head of the Collections of Palazzo Chiablese), is organised by the Civico Museo Archeologico e della Città di Savona, the Istituto Internazionale di Studi Liguri, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Savona and the patronage of ICOM Italia (International council of museums).
The Mayor of Savona Marco Russo and the Councillor for Culture Nicoletta Negro will speak.
